Celebrations throughout the country
23 June 2026 is Luxembourg’s National Day. Celebrations take place across the country already on the evening before, 22 June – including in Wiltz.
The evening before in Wiltz
Traditionally, National Day begins with a festive evening programme. In Wiltz, music events and shared celebrations are an established part of the occasion. Depending on the programme, concerts or performances linked to the “Fête de la Musique” may also take place.
A torchlight procession often takes place as well, moving through the town and adding a ceremonial atmosphere to the evening.

On National Day itself, official ceremonies are at the centre of attention. In Luxembourg City, the military parade is among the main events. Many people also use the public holiday for excursions or a long weekend.
